Happy June, everyone, and happy Pride Month! This month, we are going to kick things off with a conversation around money, honey.
I’m really excited about this conversation. We’re going to go over the things I don’t normalize when it comes to receiving money, spending money…basically, all the things I just don’t subscribe to that most people have normalized when it comes to money.
This conversation heavily features manifestation. When I first heard about manifestation, I was so intrigued by the idea that money could operate in a different way than I normally thought it did. The idea that I could create more of it and have more of it in unconventional ways was just beyond fascinating.
Now, I’ve got to experiment to see how things are myself before I just take something and believe it, so I’m not about to share things with you that I’ve just pulled out of my ass. I only speak to what I know.
Let’s get started!
The first money belief people have normalized revolves around scarcity mindset and limitation vibes, but I want to put a different spin on this idea of scarcity mindset.
Here’s the thing: I believe scarcity is not a real thing. We’ve learned to think about money with a scarcity mindset, as if there is a shortage of money, but that’s not a real thing. There is no shortage of money. It’s a renewable resource. It’s not like oil. There’s not a finite amount of it. It’s pretty plentiful in this world.
We’ve normalized scarcity mindset around money. We’ve normalized feeling controlled or limited by money.
For example, when we look at something we want to buy, something we really, really desire, what do we say?
“I can’t afford that.” “That’s a waste of money.” “It’s too expensive.”
Sometimes we even say these things when we do have the money for something. We get extremely fixed with the way we see money. We say, “I don’t have it,” even when we do have the money in the bank account.
We normalize this language of money being tight. We normalize this idea that there’s not enough when it is actually in the bank.
Here’s the thing with money: money is energy. It’s a frequency as much as it’s a material object.
How are you leading that frequency? Are you leading with the frequency of scarcity mindset, or are you leading with the frequency of power around money?
Now, I’m not delusional to what’s happening to the world. But I’m very, very clear on what I know to be true about money, and I believe money is a resource that is plentiful. There’s no shortage of it. Scarcity mindset doesn’t belong around money.
Money is always going to be there to support me. It’s a supportive resource. It likes to partner with me. It helps me fulfill my desires. It operates outside of the structures and limitations people have set up about how money works.
Money does its own thing. It’s reliable, it’s plentiful, and I have nothing to worry about. I literally do not feel panic or worry around money. I trust when I spend money that it will be replenished. I genuinely have this anchored into my bones; when I spend and release money, it’s going to come back to me. I don’t know how, and I don’t care how. I just know that it will.
The second thing that tends to be normalized in society is experiencing a feeling of loss or regret or shame after spending. People call it “buyer’s remorse.”
We’ve normalized using language like, “Oh, I spent X amount of money on those concert tickets. That hurt.” Or, “Oof, my bank account just took a hit.” “I got this thing that I really wanted, but ooh, that was rough.” Why do we normalize this language?
You know what that energy says to me? That money is limited. Normalizing those conversations emanates the frequency of money being limited, which goes back to scarcity mindset. Because if money was abundant, you wouldn’t feel that way when spending.
If you weren’t living in scarcity mindset when it came to money, you would actually feel delighted with spending money. You’d actually feel joy. You’d actually feel excitement. You’d actually feel satisfaction. You’d feel really good about it.
Now, I wasn’t always this way. I worked on this. I cleared limiting beliefs and scarcity mindset and examined my shadows and did all the things to build a healthy relationship with money.
Before, I would literally feel lost in my body when I spent money. I would actually physically feel coins leaving my account. But now when I spend money, it’s no big deal.
I don’t make myself wrong for it. I don’t drown in shame.
We also normalize that, drowning ourselves in shame because we bought something we desired. What even is that?
Money is here to support you and your desires. Why would we feel shame around how we utilize it?

The third thing that’s very common with money is people separating themselves from more.
People do this thing where they believe more is only available to certain people: certain ethnicities, certain industries, certain careers, etcetera.
I am a big believer that just because something is a pattern doesn’t mean it’s the only reality available to me. I don’t believe in being locked into a particular reality. I challenge reality always, and I work with the reality I want to experience. That’s just how I do life.
I don’t do this thing of separating myself from more. I don’t do this thing where I say, “Yeah, they get to have more. They’re rich people. They’re wealthy,” and then call myself something else.
I understand that different people have different obstacles to the thing that they want, or maybe they grew up in a family where wealth was normalized and so they’re going to have a totally different experience with money. I get that, but I still don’t believe that makes me unqualified to have that life.
I have decided to see myself as a wealthy woman. I’ve decided that’s available for me.
We live in this ever-expanding universe, and you’re trying to tell me that I’m limited in my options for my life? Are you trying to tell me somebody else is better than me or somebody gets to make more money than me, and I just get to live this life where I make less and I’m unhappy? Get out of here. That’s a victim frequency, and I don’t walk around in victim frequency.
I don’t separate myself from other people. I don’t feel less-than or small when I’m around people who make more than me. I feel excited and intrigued to get to know how they see the world. I ask questions. I feel like they’re just another human being. I feel like that life is available to me too, because it is.
So just to wrap it up, the three things I do not subscribe to that seem to be commonplace with money in our society is the scarcity mindset around money, the normalization of shame when we spend money, and separating ourselves from receiving more due to our circumstances.
