Welcome back to The Self Love Fix space. I’m so, so excited to introduce you to a long-term client of mine today: Sheena Katz!
She’s here today to chat a little bit about her story, how things have been since we started working together, and the power of manifestation. She’s been with me since 2020, so it’s been a long time. Back then, I had a group coaching program called Embodied. She was also in Woman of Desire at one point. She did group coaching this past February, and now she’s going to be in Expanded.
She’s been in my world for a while. I absolutely adore her, and I know you will too!
Beatrice: Welcome, Sheena! First of all, I’m curious—what were you thinking before we started working together? What led you to want to do that?
Sheena: You know, to be totally honest, the biggest impetus for me was the pandemic. Before that, I’d started listening to your podcast, but I was still able to distract myself with other things. I could go out and do other things and ignore all of the work that I felt I needed to do.
Then when the pandemic happened, I was gifted with time to reflect…though, at the time, we didn’t think of it as a gift. I decided I was going to go back and listen to all of your podcast episodes; I went back to episode one and got caught up to the current episode at the time.
You have this way of communicating with a lot of like gentleness and grace, and that really caught my attention. I knew I wanted to work with someone, but I didn’t want to feel like I was being talked down to, which can sometimes happen when you’re working with different coaches. And even though I didn’t even know you, when I was listening to your podcast, it seemed like I was just talking to a friend who knew me; who knew what it was like to feel incomplete in some capacity, even if you were trying so hard.
I could tell it wasn’t planned, either. It was very much stream-of-consciousness, where it came from a place of, “This is what I’m feeling today.”
When people have perfected, scripted podcasts, you don’t really relate to them, whereas yours felt so organic and relatable that I felt very comfortable with you immediately, even before I reached out to work with you.
When I found out that you were doing group programs, it felt perfect. I had the time. I didn’t have to go anywhere to do it.
Honestly, the convenience of being able to do it wherever was the biggest indicator for me, because a lot of the coaching that I’d seen before meant going somewhere to be coached.
It was just the perfect storm of the pandemic and being able to do it right from the living room couch that made it easy for me to commit, but I think it was the gentleness and grace that really brought me in. There was nothing in your message about having to “fix” anything, which was also different—a lot of coaching programs are about identifying what needs to be fixed. They’re about finding the things that are broken, so the fact that you led with, “Nothing needs to be fixed. Let’s just figure this out,” was the biggest thing that made me want to come in.
There was no shame there. You were just so inviting to people, and there’s never any judgment there. I just tell you what happened or what I’m feeling, no matter how terrible it may seem—whether it’s me admitting to being selfish sometimes, or me being admitting to sometimes being manipulative— and you don’t even flinch. You’re like, “Yep, that’s just a normal human condition.”
Sheena: I think the biggest thing that I’ve taken from all of your podcasts is leaning into how you feel when trying to harness the power of manifestation, and that’s really what led me to want to work with you so much.
Like you’ve told me, a lot of what we do is anchored in how we feel. I feel like ever since I took that to heart, things have been going really great for me.
Beatrice: I know that’s something we’ve been working on together for a while, your connection to your feelings and your connection to vulnerability when using the power of manifestation. What are your thoughts on that? What has unfolded for you?
Sheena: So many things. At first when you told me to “feel into” something three years ago, I literally thought, “What does that even mean?”
So, in 2020, I wanted to manifest this incredible trip to the Amalfi Coast. But in 2020, that seemed impossible. But you just looked at me and said, “Well, what does it feel like to be there?”
I said, “I don’t know, I’ve never been there,” and you said, “Well, what do you think it feels like?” And I started going step by step: “It’s warm. I’m drinking a glass of rosé. I can see the ocean.” I started describing what I thought it would feel like, and sure enough, a year and a half later, I was exactly there.
That’s the power of manifestation: I manifested this dream trip that I wanted to take. And I thought involved getting promoted and doing all these things in my career, but I remember you telling me, “Don’t focus on the hows, focus on the feeling.” And I did, which is good, because all the hows ended up being completely different than I thought they would be, but they still got me there!
It did take a while; not that I had a timeframe for it, but looking back now, everything that I wrote down during Embodied Woman came to pass. The power of manifestation is insane. This is so specific, but I wrote down that I wanted to go to Paris and Milan fashion week and sit in the front row, and I did that last fall.
Beatrice: I remember you talking about that, too! And you said front row. You were specific about it. It was so specific, which is a big deal when harnessing the power of manifestation.
Sheena: Yes. I also remember in 2020, I was trying to explain why I wanted it, and you just said, “You don’t have to explain why you want it. If you desire it, so what? You don’t have to explain.” I just went, “Okay, fine. I desire to do this because I enjoy it. It’s fun.” And two years later, I was sitting front row in Milan and Paris fashion week.
Beatrice: That’s the real power of manifestation. I think when you live a life of limitlessness, a life of expansion, a life of allowing yourself to experience beyond the matrix, etcetera, this is how life has to be. It just becomes. Of course that happened for you, because you were specific. You felt into it. You lived your life in expansion. You leaned into the power of manifestation.
Sheena: Right? We weren’t even allowed to go to those countries in 2020. That’s why, when I was talking about it, I said, “I don’t know if this is ever going to happen, but I want to go to the Amalfi Coast, followed by front row fashion, Paris and Milan.
Again, we weren’t even allowed in those countries yet, but Beatrice said, “Whatever. If that’s what you want, then just feel into it. What does it feel like sitting front row?” And I was like, “I don’t know. I’m seeing the designers pass by.” And that’s exactly what happened. They passed by, and they were amazing and gorgeous. It was held at a cathedral in Paris. It was insane.
Beatrice: Out of curiosity, how did it happen? Now that the power of manifestation has worked its magic, let’s talk about the hows. Because I remember that you thought it was going to be through work, and you had this whole plan in your head of how you thought it was going to happen.
Sheena: So, I think a lot of your lessons were to lean into what genuinely makes you happy and what you love doing, right? So I said, “Okay, well, I can’t go to fashion shows or anything fashion-related there right now, but I can go to some locally.” So I started going to some local stuff and started meeting more and more people, and through that, I ended up becoming part of the Vogue Club. I met some people there, and they were like, “Oh, there’s going to be a fashion show in Paris and Milan. Would you want to go?” And I said, “Absolutely.” It ended up being nothing to do with work at all.

Beatrice: Wow. I love this. And with the way you’re describing it, it sounds like you had fun along the way. You were just doing your thing, and then boom, here’s the opportunity!
There’s something to be said about easeful manifestation. Some people manifest out of panic, and if you did that, you’d probably still get it, but it’d probably be miserable on the way and not at all the version you really wanted. The power of manifestation can work in any circumstance, but if you try to harness it in a frantic state, it wouldn’t happen in the way that would really satisfy you.
Sheena: I agree. I mean, I ended up going to three fashion shows while I was there. I only had assigned seating for one or two of them; it just so happened that they came to me and said, “We have a front row seat available. Do you want to sit here?” Another example of the power of manifestation.
Sheena: I think one of the things that I really enjoyed about your teachings on the power of manifestation is that you’re really good about taking the shame out of anything.
When I wanted all those things in 2020, it seemed frivolous to want those things in the middle of a pandemic. But you stopped it right there. You’re told me, “There’s no such thing as too frivolous. If it brings you joy and if you love it, lean into it. Use the power of manifestation. You’re not losing anything. You’re not hurting anybody.”
So lifting any guilt or shame that can come along with desires is one of the things that you’re super, super good at. Because the second that you take away any shame from your desires, it allows you to pursue it more freely. It really opens up access to the power of manifestation.
Beatrice: It’s almost like the desire is expansive, and then your shame is contractive. So it’s quite difficult to harness the power of manifestation with the energy of shame and the guilt.
I am one of those people that believes we get to drop the shame. We get to drop the guilt. If your soul desires it, why would that be a bad thing? Shame is just so unhelpful from a manifestation or shadow work perspective.
Beatrice: Where can everybody come and find you if they want to get to know you or get some fashion consulting from you?
Sheena: I can be found in the Instagram streets. My username is @sheenakatz. DMing me is probably the best way to get ahold of me, and it’s also the best way for me to assess what you want me to consult with, whether it’s your brand or your page. I can do both. But also, I just like chatting with people! So even if I’m not the person to help your brand, I can probably find someone that will help you guys.
Beatrice: Oh, I love that. Sheena, this has been absolutely incredible. I should have had you on here sooner, but at the same time, I feel like this is the perfect time. I’m so glad that you joined us today to talk about the power of manifestation!
